Mobile Services Degradation Resolved

We’re currently experiencing a degradation in our Mobile service that may cause longer than normal response times. All teams are engaged and we will update periodically.

Update 2015-07-18 09:00: We’re still continuing to see degradation, all teams are engaged and investigating.

Update 2015-07-18 09:30: We’ve identified the root issue and are working to resolve it.

Update 2015-07-18 10:10: The issue has be resolved. Plans for future mediation are going forward.

Mobile Service Degradation Resolved

We’re currently experiencing a degradation in our Mobile service that may cause longer than normal response times. All teams are engaged and we will update periodically.

This is resolved as of 2015-07-16 15:07 CST.

Elevated error rates when loading transactions Resolved

Some users may have experienced long load times or failures attempting to load transactions. Our team has found the problem and are implementing the solution. Most transactions should load at this time. Any remaining failures will be resolved shortly.

This issue was completely resolved as of 4:32 PM.

Brief Network Interruption Resolved

Around 8:30 AM Banno’s network connectivity experienced a brief outage. During this outage, some users may have been unable to load websites. This issue resolved on its own.

This issue was completely resolved as of 8:38 AM.

Mobile Bill Pay Resolved

Bill Pay services on Mobile are currently unavailable. We are working our partners to resolve this issue and will update periodically.

Update 2015-06-21 12:06: Our partner is working to resolve the issue on their end. We’ll update as it gets resolved.

Update 2015-06-21 13:15: Our partner has resovlved the issue.

Bill Pay services on Mobile are currently unavailable. We are working to resolve this issue and will update periodically.

Update as of 2015-06-07 22:00 CDT: We’re currently still working with our upstream provider on restoring Bill Pay services. This is only affecting Bill Pay and no other services. All technical teams are engaged, and updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Brief Network Connectivity Issues Resolved

This morning, we experienced a brief network-based outage in which some users may have been unable to access Banno websites and services. This issue has been resolved as of 7:34 AM.

Mobile Services Resolved

We are currently investigating a degradation of mobile services. We will continue to update on this issue periodically.

Data Center Network Latency Resolved

Banno is experiencing issues with network connectivity in our Cedar Falls datacenter. Engineers are engaged in fixing the issue. More information will be provided when available.

Update 7:00 AM: We are currently experiencing connectivity issues resulting from excessive traffic. All technical teams are engaged, and updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Update 7:50 AM: At present time, our network connectivity is stable. We will continue to update should conditions change

Network Latency Resolved

We have are currently experiencing increased latency on some network requests into and out of our Cedar Falls data center. All techincal teams are engaged and updates will be proivded when more information is available.

Network Connectivity Issues Resolved

At 11:05 AM Banno started experiencing issues with network connectivity in our Cedar Falls datacenter. We will continute to update this post.

Update - 12:00 PM: We are in contact with our network engineers as well as our datacenter and network provider’s engineers to mitigate this issue.

Update - 12:54 PM: We are currently experiencing connectivity issues resulting from excessive traffic. All technical teams are engaged, and updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Update - 1:40 PM: Over the past hour we’ve observed a continued reduction in the traffic volumes which have been impacting our internet delivered services. Our technical teams are continuing to work with our telecommunications providers, and all parties are actively monitoring the performance of our connections. We will continue to provide updates if conditions change.

Intermittent Connectivity Issues Resolved

This morning a misconfiguration of our load balancer was discovered under high load. This may have caused latency and in some cases sites to be unavailable for a short period of time. As soon as the problem was discovered, an emergency fix was deployed to resolve.

Site Latency Resolved

We are seeing increased latency on Banno sites. Our networking team is investigating this issue currently.

Maintenance Window [Security Release] Resolved

On April 7, 2014 OpenSSL released an updated version of their software to address a vulnerability which was discovered and published. Details on this vulnerability can be read at heartbleed.com.

For the security of all of our customers, we updated OpenSSL last night at 11:59pm CDT. No downtime occurred.
